FAQs

Q: Can I make requests or commission individual pieces?
A:  Yes.  One of the hallmarks of Priceless Kids is that our products are unique and we make bespoke pieces to order, be it clothing or homewares.

Q:  How do I ask you questions or send feedback?
A:  We’d love to hear from you.  Go to the Contact us page of this website or email us at pricelesskids@xtra.co.nz.  Include your full contact details (email address, contact phone number and mailing address), as well as your question or feedback, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible (moving heaven and earth to help with your query of course!).

Q: Are all Priceless Kids products made in Australasia?
A: Yes.  We’ve worked hard to ensure that everything we produce is made by us with integrity and care in New Zealand, including the printing and manufacture of our hand-painted bedlinen designs. We source our fabric paint from Australia and our quality cotton sheeting from New Zealand. Everything we make meets our stringent, quality standards.

Q: Am I buying a quality product?
A:  Yes, quality is part and parcel of the way we do things at Priceless Kids.  We believe in crafting practical products that will last a child and its family for years – buying Priceless Kids is an investment.  So our bedlinen is more luxurious than most at 300 thread count (as opposed to the standard 250 thread count) because we understand that a child’s bed set will probably be washed a lot.  Our hand-smocked, hand-made clothes have buttons sewed on extra tight by hand.  And our hand-painted t-shirts have washing instructions so you know how to care for them and make them last.

Q:  Is the smocking all done by hand?
A:  Most definitely. All our smocked clothes are hand-made by Barbara Price, who first started selling gorgeous smocked dresses in New Zealand and Australia in the 1980s.  Her designs are modernised to ensure smocking is kept alive and also at the cutting edge of kids’ fashion clothing.

Q:  Can I order a smocked dress that isn’t featured here on the website?
A:  We’ll do our best to accommodate you.  Contact us to discuss what you are looking for.

Q: Are your hand-made and hand-painted products easy to wash?
A: Yes.  Our hand-smocked items can be gently hand washed and left to drip-dry – it’s that simple. The hand-painted t-shirts and homewares (cushions covers, for example) are machine washable. We don’t recommend bleaching the articles but spot washing for stains is fine and we successfully have put our tested products in Napisan type products.  Avoid washing hand-painted items excessively as the colours can fade over time.  Hand-painted products can be ironed; we recommend covering the article when ironing.

Q: Is your bedding machine washable?
A: Absolutely!  For best results and to keep colours as fresh as possible, wash bedding in cold water, hang inside-out to dry, or tumble dry on a low heat. We recommend covering articles when ironing.

Q: What sizes does your bedlinen come in?
A:  Priceless Kids makes single bed sets (1x duvet/doona cover + 1x pillowcase).  Single duvet covers measure 140 x 210cm, pillowcase(s) are 70 x 50cm.

Q: Can I just buy a pillowcase to co-ordinate with another bed set?
A: Absolutely!  We love this idea. Our one-off, customised pillowcases are an ideal way to update a bedroom and your existing bedlinen, and at $30.00 they make a great gift.

Q:  Can I colour or fabric match the bedding?  Or artwork?
A:  Yes you can.  Email us at pricelesskids@xtra.co.nz - be sure to include your full contact details – email, contact phone number and mailing address. Post us swatches, colour matches, etc and then we can match the painted bedlinen to it as accurately as possible.

Q:  Are your products in New Zealand dollars (NZD)?

A:  Yes, all products are listed here in NZD and include 12.5% GST (goods and services tax).  There is a currency converter available on the shopping cart page.

Q: Do you ship worldwide?  How much does shipping cost?
A: Yes,
we sell internationally via this website.  Orders outside New Zealand are sent via New Zealand Post’s airmail service, and will take approximately 5-7 working days to arrive at their destination.  We have a standard postage rate for small items of $7.50, and a standard postage rate for larger items (such as the bedlinen and larger canvases) of $15.00.

Q: Do you have a gift-wrapping service?
A:  We do! Gift wrapping is all part of our priceless service and eye for detail. We’ll use a gorgeous, appropriate gift wrap. We can either send the card to you blank, or write a message in the card in stunning calligraphy. To order gift wrapping, email us at pricelesskids@xtra.co.nz outlining your requirements.
